I & S ENGINEERS is a 'Total Solution" provider for Special Purpose Machinery especially in motion control. Innovation and the use of path breaking technology are the hall mark of ongoing operations. I & S ENGINEERS was started in 1992 by Shashi Menon, a first generation entrepreneur. The company brought in state of the art power controllers for D.C. Motor Speed control and various process controls. These controllers were designed and manufactured for the local industries in and around Coimbatore. One of the key applications of D.C Drives till today is the retrofit of imported used machine tools like plano-miller, Vertical turret lathes, horizontal boring, gear hobbing etc. Very soon electrical control panels for various machinery were designed and executed to provide a total electrical solution. Diverse solutions were successfully commissioned: With the experience gained while interacting with diverse industries, the product and services folio was expanded to include total solutions including machine design. The foray saw successful development of a slew of automatic machinery viz: CNC Vertical Turret Lathe, CNC Plasma cutting table, CNC sheet bending machine, CNC Coil winding machine, Automatic Welding fixture etc.
